High protein vegan meals or recipes are often hard to come by. 

I’m not sure whether this is because vegans consider protein to be an over-hyped nutrient. Or because they believe that as long as a vegan diet provides enough calories, it will automatically also provide enough protein.  

Regardless of the cause, the result remains the same. Despite it being an important nutrient, plant protein is one I often seek lacking in vegan recipes.

Iron is one of those nutrients that vegetarians and vegans often get asked about. 

Generally speaking, vegetarians and vegans tend to have lower blood iron levels than meat eaters. Low iron levels can cause a hoard of unpleasant symptoms and ultimately lead to poor health.

Picky eaters can be a tough challenge to crack.

Most parents feel it’s their responsibility to get their children to eat a large variety of foods, vegetables included. 

And from what I hear in my office, most also feel a sense of personal failure when their children only want to eat peanut butter and chocolate chips!

Helping picky eaters enjoy a wide variety of foods can quickly turn into a frustrating process for parents and a stressful one for children.
